First Upholstery project: adding nailheads to an old armchair.

This chair was a chair I grew up horsing around on at my great-grandma’s apartment.  We were gifted it a week or two ago.  It’s tufted on the back and perfectly matches our cottage style, but it wanted a little something… (something that the Handyman and I might affectionately call “a little Oompah down it’s pants…”  Please tell me you’ve seen the Tale of Saddy Dumpington…)

So we picked up four boxes of upholstery nails at our home improvement store for $4.  I used a white eyeliner pencil to mark the spots for the nail heads, and it was a quick half an hour project.  We’re pretty pleased with the results.

Oh, yes.  That is the Handyman up there.  Aren’t his socks classy?  I came up with a saying a few weeks ago.  “Life is too short to wear ugly socks.”  The Handyman told me I probably shouldn’t go into marketing.  Ah, well.  I ended up buying him a bunch of fun work socks as a result.
